The ''Royal George'' was a 486-ton merchant ship built at Hull, England in 1820. She made two voyages transporting convicts from England to Australia. She undertook one voyage for the British East India Company. ==Career== On her first convict voyage, under the command of Robert Embledon and surgeon William Gregor, she departed Spithead on the 26 August 1828, with 160 male convicts. She arrived in Sydney on the 24 December 1828. There were two convict deaths en route. The second convict voyage, under the command of Robert Embledon and surgeon Michael Goodsir, she departed Portsmouth on 27 June 1830 with 215 male convicts. She arrived in Hobart Town on 18 October 1830 and had four convict deaths en route. She then sailed to Sydney with a number of convicts. In 1844 she transported 22 exiles from HM Prison Pentonville, England to Williamstown, Port Phillip.
